Denver Broncos give Travis Henry some time off for Father's Day!

ENGLEWOOD - The Denver Broncos cut ties Monday with Travis Henry, 9NEWS has learned.

The team released the running back, claiming his actions could not be tolerated anymore.
"We're looking for guys to do the little things the right way," Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan said Monday. "And, if you don't do the little things the right way, you're not going to be with the organization.
"I think our players expected it. I don't think it really surprised anyone."
Even so, the news still caught players at Monday's practice off guard – especially those on the current Broncos' running back corps.
"To be honest, I didn't know Travis was gone," said Andre Hall, who began the day third on the Broncos' depth chart. "As of now, we just go with the rotation we have."
That includes Michael Pittman, who the Broncos picked up days ago as a free agent from Tampa Bay. Now, he and the other RBs will be jockeying for the top spot.
"Everybody wasn't to start and everybody wants to play," he said to 9NEWS on Monday. "But, now we have one less running back. Competition is heat up now even more."
Henry's departure also keeps a negative trend going for the Broncos – releasing the team's marquee running back. After each season, from 2003-06, the Broncos did not keep their leading rusher – Clinton Portis in '03, Reuben Droughns in '04, Mike Anderson in '05 and Tatum Bell in '06.
The Broncos signed Henry as a free agent last March. In his only season with the team, Henry rushed for 691 yards on 167 carries with a team-high four touchdowns. His total yards were a close second behind Selvin Young with 729 yards.
Henry had restructured his contract with the Broncos back in February prior to his scheduled $6 million bonus to stay with the team. However, his time with the team was not without controversy. Before last season started, A Georgia court released information claiming Henry was the father of nine children from nine different mothers.
In October, it was discovered Henry had a failed a drug test. He successfully appealed his case to the NFL and avoided a one-year suspension.
Before joining the Broncos, the eighth-year player spent two seasons with Tennessee after beginning his career with Buffalo.

Thats suprising. Figured he would have more than that.

Now for double jeopardy, how many of these 9 women does he owe back child support to?
